Robbie Buckley in control against Bray.

The first game of the season for the Waterford United U19 side proved to be a difficult one as they were outplayed and outclassed by a far superior Bray Wanderers outfit at the RSC on Sunday afternoon.
After bossing the early exchanges, Bray took the lead on ten minutes when John Ross Wilson split the Blues defence to set up Sean Quinn, who fired a right-footed shot to the left corner of the net beyond the dive of keeper Matthew Sheehan.
Dylan Walsh had the Blues first glimpse at goal on 16 minutes when the right back got free out on the right side of the penalty area but his shot flew inches over the crossbar of Bray Wanderers goalkeeper Corey Chambers who looked beaten.
The Blues did up their performance in the early stages of the second half. Cian Loy forced the visiting keeper Corey Chambers into a smart save before Troy Carey found the sidenetting with a free kick on 48 minutes.
Carey was in the thick of the action once again two minutes later when he doubled the visitors lead. He took possession of the ball on the right-side of the penalty area, cleverly flicked it onto his left-foot and placed it to the far corner of the net past keeper Matthew Sheehan.
The visitors grabbed a third goal on 58 minutes when a cross from the left from Ryan Kavanagh was knocked down by Paddy Obijuru into the path of Sean Quinn and he powered an unstoppable right-footed effort to the left-corner of the net past Sheehan from the edge of the penalty area.
Substitute Shane Barnes could have extended the lead on 79 minutes when he rose inside the penalty area to meet a cross from Dylan Travers but his header was saved before the same player was denied by a wonderful point blank save three minutes later.
Travers added a fourth goal for Bray seconds later when he fired home the rebound after Matthew Sheehan saved. The Blues did grab a late consolation goal two minutes later when Dean Walsh was on hand to fire home from close range past keeper Corey Chambers.
