Mount Sion  3  Charleville  CBS 6
Despite scoring a hat-trick, something he also did in the quarter final against Carrick CBS, Jake Mooney finished on the losing team in this semi final which was played in the Mount Sion Grounds on Thursday last. The final score line was dreadfully unfair on the Mount Sion team who had to play the last 15 minutes with ten players.
The last two goals scored by the side from North Cork came in stoppage time. Mount Sion fell behind after only three minutes in a repeat of what happened when they played Carrick the previous week. Jack Callaghan played a lovely ball over the Mount Sion defence and the excellent James Fitzgerald somehow managed to find the net with a shot from an impossible angle out on the left side of the penalty area.
Despite that terrible start the home side settled and their goalscoring ace Jake Mooney brought a fine save from the Charleville goalkeeper Conor Baggand two minutes later.
