A newspaper article claiming that Waterford City Council was paying more than twice the value for 11 houses it was buying from the trustees of the local Holy Ghost Hospital has been denounced as totally untrue by City Manager Michael Walsh.
The Manager took time out at Monday night’s City Council meeting to spell out the details of the transaction.He went on to describe the piece in The Irish Examiner as misleading and erroneous.
