The Dunhill Singers performing at Crocanoir, Co Tipperary.

Formed in 2005 to participate in Scór, the Dunhill Singers were recently the first ever Irish band to participate in Newfoundland’s March Hare Festival, Atlantic Canada’s largest festival of poetry and music.
The 6-strong group, who all live in or around the village of Dunhill, ranges in age from mid 20s to 50s; they believe this distinctive blend of youth and experience is what makes their sound so unique.
When they’re not performing as The Dunhill Singers, Margaret Moore, Anne Kavanagh and her son Danny, Mairéad Murphy, Anthony Grant and Elaine Dunphy are kept busy with their day jobs, ranging from teaching to breeding horses to researching for Nemeton TV in An Rinn. But their first love is clearly making music.
