Independent TD Mattie McGrath has described the Water Services Bill, or the septic tank charge as it’s more regularly referred to, as ‘another attack on rural dwellers’.
“The proposed legislation is totally unfair and is another attack on rural dwellers as it seeks to penalise them with potentially crippling costs while urban dwellers will bear no cost and are protected by the tax payer,” claimed Deputy McGrath.
