The Ballygunner resident had just finished an interview with RTE’s Marian Finucane, in the midst of a week in which the departing company’s shocked staff has attempted to come to terms with its fate.
Like the name of their soon-to-be ex-employer, there’s been a hell of a lot of talk about what’s happened and what lies ahead.
“We were offered X Factor final tickets, a trip to Dubai if you had the best sales targets in your own department – and now it’s all gone, just like that,” said Paul, a father of one who plans to marry his partner.
