Waterford’s Kevin O’Carroll, winner of a Munster Express/Dooley’s Hotel Heritage & Culture Award last year, was on the victor’s rostrum again when he was named winner of WLRfm’s ‘Deise Den’ competition.
The competition, whose final was held at The Granary on May 27th, involved a lengthy search to reward the best new business idea in the city and county, with a €25,000 start-up bursary on offer.
After considerable adjudication and following a live on-air pitch on WLR’s ‘Deise AM’ programme hosted by Billy McCarthy, Kevin’s choral consultancy pitch was judged to be the pick of the crop.
