News emerged this week that insurance provider Aviva plans to close all 26 branches, including their Quay branch in Waterford next year.
The company plans to shut down each of the branches by June next year with the loss of 950 jobs in the country. Some 300 jobs are expected to be outsourced, most likely to the UK.
