The clean-up of the Ard-Rí Hotel site is now imminent, according to Waterford City Council Environmental Director of Services Colette Byrne.
Replying to a question from Cllr John Cummins, Ms Byrne said work will soon start “to take the Ard Rí out of dereliction”.
She continued: “Considerable work will have to be carried out in terms of secure access and the removal of rubbish from the site. We will also be carrying out works to the present the façade of the building in a more appropriate manner.”
