Ferrybank 0; Villa 1
Villa are only three points behind Carrick United following their victory over a Ferrybank team who opened the season in fine style but who are now finding the going a little sticky.
Danny Walsh scored the only goal of the game after 35 minutes, his third of the season. Ferrybank had to play without their leading goalscorer Brian Mallon and they created very little during the course of the 90 minutes.
Having said that Villa did not have their ace man, Conor McDonald, in their ranks so this could prove to be a very good result indeed for the Connors Park outfit.
It is worth noting that Carrick United and Villa have played only four games, one less than most, so needless to say both clubs are very happy right now.
