A magnificent virtuoso display by Maria Delehunty helped WIT record a superb six goal victory against the Cork College of Further Education in Carraignore last week.
Maria, who is a native of Ballinroad, Co Waterford turned in a performance which was a joy to behold.
She was involved in everything positive in a WIT team that really turned on the style big time. Maria, who has been playing with the local Benfica club in recent years is a current international player at this level, and she will play in the newly formed League of Ireland Ladies League very shortly.
Having lost their opening game against NUIG it was important that WIT bounced back to winning form and from the moment Maria Delehunty gave them the lead the result was never in any real doubt.
