St Saviours 1; Johnville 0

St Saviours are refusing to allow Tramore get too far away at the top of the table. They built on their victory over Southend the previous week by beating Johnville in a hard fought match in Ballybeg on Sunday last.

The only goal of the game came from the penalty spot after 52 minutes. Brian O’Donoghue was taken down by the Johnville goalkeeper Joe Grant and Aaron O’Neill duly dispatched the spot kick.

Johnville played with the breeze in the first half without ever troubling the home goalkeeper Graham Cleary. John Paul Jacob went up front for the Saints in the second half and he caused all sorts of problems for the visiting defenders.

Valdo Bulvas was back for Johnville and they also brought on new signing Jan Jaoco in the second period, and despite the wet and muddy conditions he displayed some great touches and he could play a big part for them during the remainder of the season.
