I was more than a little disappointed by the evening put on as a showcase for the emerging talents at the end of term for Red Kettle Theatre Academy. Whatever I expected to be on the programme, I was hoping for a blast of recognition for the actors of the future, but ended up in a dusty derelict warehouse, the old GPO sorting office, where the acting area needed a wash or a quick 24 hour sealant. This was an old-fashioned derelict site. Mixing music with theatre and devised sketches at that, even if it was directed by Joe Meagher, was poor fare for me.
