The Portlaw Musical Society hit the high notes with a colourful, funny and fast-paced panto that delighted the first night audience. Cinderella is a difficult show to put on and this community can be proud of their achievement. They might not have had a coach but they made sure the audience had a ball.

Paul Corcoran took over the direction and he brought his family’s magic and love of entertainment to the fore with a Dick Meany script.

From the fine opening featuring the Mulcahy-Bible dancers with Cian Kelly in excellent form as the Ugly Sisters upon the scene, ace mirth-makers Freddy Kelly and Freddie Laffan revelled in the madcap mayhem and it is always a pleasure to see these funsters in action.
