Sometimes worthwhile events get lost in the pre-Christmas rush and the Christmas Charity Massed Bands Concert at 7.45pm on Friday 14th December deserves not to be missed at the Sacred Heart Church, The Folly. Waterford has a fine tradition of Concert, brass, Pipes and Flute bands and to have the Waterford City Pipe Band, De la Salle Scout Pipe Band, City of Waterford Brass, Barrack Street Concert Band and Thomas Francis Meagher Fife and Drum band at the same venue is a great treat.

Add to these special guests like Vanessa and Caroline Sadlier, Dick Hayes, David Flynn, the Ursuline School Choir, Mercy School Senior Choir and the String section of WIT music department and you have a wonderful evening and top class stirring entertainment.

The finale of the evening will thrill and delight when all the bands join into a spectacular Massed Band to play a piece specially selected for the night.

MC for the evening will be Liam Walsh and be assured that the sound at the finale will rock you to the core, surge you with emotion and bring a lump to your throat at least.

Tickets can be purchased from Sinnott’s Disc And Tapes, Michael Street.
