While most Irish/American golf fans will be hoping that Tiger, Phil, Padraig and Rory will feature among the final pairings come Sunday, Seve Ballesteros is starting his fourth round of chemotherapy after undergoing the same number of surgeries on a malignant brain tumor.
He’s now back to the weight he was when he won his first Masters at the age of 23, having lost 33lbs since being admitted to hospital last year. Even in the era of Tiger mania, Seve is still missed. The old master’s fight for life – what he calls his “sixth major” – certainly puts Woods’ recent comeback in perspective.
Here’s hoping he can complete his resurrection.
