Residents of four private estates in Tramore have been informed that a FÁS worker will no longer be available to maintain their open spaces.
Further estates could also receive the notice, as an area covering Dunmore East and surrounding areas of Tramore, is covered as part of the same scheme, whereby a FÁS worker carries out duties such as grass cutting, weeding and hedge trimming in large open spaces.
An Extraordinary General Meeting of the Sweetbriar Residents’ Association was held recently, at which the removal of the scheme was discussed.
Around forty people attended the meeting at the Community Centre on Pond Road.
