Waterford Institute of Technology got their CUFL campaign off to a flying start by defeating University of Limerick at the RSC last week.
The team is managed by the Waterford United boss Paul O’Brien and he admitted afterwards that he was delighted with the second half display of his charges.
At half time the Waterford outfit were trailing but Craig Maguire, a strong front runner who plays for North End in Wexford and Wexford Youths, scored two brilliant goals in the second period to win the points.
WIT had to plan without the service of the former Waterford United, St Patrick’s Athletic and Sporting Fingal full back John Frost.
