Store-All Warehousing employee Pat Walsh took a couple of days off work this week, to celebrate scooping €350,000 in the Lotto Plus 1 draw.
Pat, from Lemybrien, collected his cheque from the National Lottery offices in Dublin on Monday afternoon in the company of his brother James, after getting over the initial shock of seeing his numbers ‘come up’.
He purchased his winning €10 Quick Pick ticket in Kevin Casserley’s Spar, Kilcohan Shopping Centre last Wednesday, the day of the draw. “I checked my ticket on Teletext on Thursday night. I had a few tickets to check and it was the last one that had the big prize on it. I got a bit of a shock at first but I’m used to it now. First of all I want to enjoy myself, buy a new car and then I’ll figure out what to do next. I won’t be giving up my job yet” laughed Pat.
