Wexford Youths  0;  Waterford United  2

Waterford United won for the second time this season in Ferrycarrig Park when they scored two late goals on Friday night last. The game looked destined to finish scoreless but the last three minutes produced a dramatic finish with two goals and a red card for the Wexford goalkeeper Pakie Holden who once played with the Blues.
Manager Paul O’Brien named an unchanged team following the excellent victory against Shelbourne the previous week but Paul Carey pulled his hamstring in the warm up and he was replaced by John Hayes.
Unfortunately Hayes also pulled up early in the game and as a result the defence had to be reshuffled once again with Brian Nolan moving to right full back and Gary Dunphy coming back into the middle of the park.
