On Saturday last three athletes from Ferrybank AC competed in a meeting in Palafruegell near Barcelona in Spain and Kelly Proper won the Long Jump with a distance of 6.41 metres, which was her best distance of the season so far and she also finished second in the 100 metres final in 11.70 seconds. The race was won by another Irish athlete Clare Brady in 11.60. Christopher Russell also had a good performance as he finished fourth in the 100 metres final in 10.70, the race was won by a Spaniard athlete Garcia in 10.43. In a 400m race Billy Ryan ran 49.2 to finish fifth.
