Cork City replaced Waterford United at the top of the Under 19 Elite League following this convincing victory at the RSC on Saturday afternoon.
The Blues had to line out without their star strike Sean Maguire , but even if the eight goal hit man had have been fit to play it would not have changed the course of the second half, a period which saw the Leesiders score all five goals.
The visitors were physically stronger and quicker to the breaking ball and no one could have any complaints about the final outcome.
