Third placed Waterford Crystal crashed at home to St Saviours despite taking the lead through Niall O’Toole after 33 minutes. Brian O’Donougue got St Saviours back on level terms in the second half and Trevor Elliott put the visitors in front before Stephen Dalton wrapped up the points for the Ballybeg outfit in the last minute.
Crystal are now six points behind Carrick United. This was the Saints’ first league victory under new manager Anthony Jacob. The Bohemians versus Villa game meant to be played on Saturday night was called off due to a waterlogged Ben Wadding Park.
