During the Festival the eagerly awaited AIMS nominations were announced with Carrick-on-Suir getting three nominations in Best Musical Director (Fergal Carroll) Best Actor in a Supporting Role (Matthew Williams) and Best Comedienne (Emma Jane Reilly) all from Sweeney Todd, David Hennessy’s production of Beauty and the Beast for Tipperary made it into the Best Overall Show category.
In the Sullivan section St.Michael’s Theatre’s production of Into the Woods got two nominations for Best MD (Philip Kennedy) and Best Actress (Nancy Rochford Flynn). These awards will finalise in Killarney on June 19th.
