Waterford TD John Deasy believes the State should intervene to ensure the retention of SmartPly Europe Ltd at the Port of Waterford at Belview, which requires €85 million to acquire a new plant.
In a letter to Agriculture Minister Simon Coveney dated March 20th, Deputy Deasy described SmartPly as an important strategic venture “in the context of the current economic difficulties facing the South East region”.
