Waterford City Council has unanimously demanded of the government that it pays at least 60 pc of pension entitlements due to former Waterford Crystal workers.
A motion to that effect was tabled by John Hearne (SF) at Monday night’s monthly meeting of the Council where most of the members spoke of the raw deal former glass workers had suffered through the collapse of their pension scheme.
