Waterford United succumbed to a demoralising league defeat at the RSC on Saturday night last when they lost 4-0 to Mervue United.
The Galway outfit should have opened the scoring on two minutes when some neat play from Jason Molloy saw him pick out Marc Ludden out on the left and his cross found Brendan Lavelle, who turned superbly onto his right-foot six yards from goal but dragged his shot inches wide of Craig Hyland’s left-hand post.
