city squareCITY Square Shopping Centre is welcoming two major new stores to its premises – Jane Norman and the Edinburgh Woolen Mill. The shopping centre was dealt a blow earlier this year with the closure of Next and the Early Learning Centre.
Both stores were well established and popular outlets in the shopping centre. Jane Norman now occupies the premises previously operated by Next, while the Edinburgh Woolen Mill takes up the outlet vacated by the Early Learning Centre. The Edinburgh Woolen Mill already has stores in the Showgrounds Shopping Centre in Clonmel and in Merchants Quay Shopping Centre, Cork and sells a large range of clothes aimed at men and women over 40.
In 2011,the Edinburgh Woolen Mill Group Ltd purchased popular women’s clothing retailer Jane Norman out of administration. Jane Norman also has a number of stores across Ireland.
The presence of the stores has been welcome by the business community in Waterford, given the many city centre closures through the past weeks and months.
