Waterford City Council passed the 2012 budget estimates for the City on Monday night, despite a significant drop in funding from central government to the local authority.
One positive highlight from the budget process is the reduction of off-street parking to €1 in the New Year to make city car parks attractive and convenient for those visiting and working in the city. Festival funding has also been maintained in order to further boost the focus on the retail sector within the city.
