Minister Alan Kelly was at hand recently to open a public symposium in Waterford on adopting a public bike scheme in the city.

The junior Minister at the Department of Transport, with special responsibility for Public Transport, launched the public meeting in the Large Room at City Hall.

Councillor Jack Walsh, deputising for Mayor Pat Hayes, welcomed the Minister to Waterford and stressed the positive impact that the public bike scheme could have on the city.

“We’re a bustling city here in Waterford with busy streets and fascinating shops,” he said.
