It would seem that every year, a game takes place in the county that seems to capture the hearts and imaginations of all those who were present to witness it.

Last Saturday afternoon’s Junior Hurling Final replay could well have be the 2011 entry as this was a game that will live long in the memory of those lucky enough to have witnessed it.

The fact that all the spectators rose at one on the final whistle to give both sets of players a standing ovation speaks volumes about the quality of the fare that was on offer.

Once again, the decision the play this game in Carriganore was a wise one as the small stand, with both sets of spectators sitting together made for a great atmosphere at the WIT venue.
