The Government’s formal response to the escalating unemployment crisis in Waterford city is set to be made before Christmas in the guise of a ‘significant employment boost’, The Munster Express has learned.
And it’s also believed that a positive announcement on the future of Saint Patrick’s Hospital is now imminent.
News of such an announcement was hinted at by Seanad Leader Maurice Cummins during a Civic Reception held in his honour at City Hall on Friday last.
