The work of Czech Republic artist Veronika Kladnakova is featured in the Central Library, Index Gallery, Lady Lane. Her work is influenced by the Czech artist and author, the cubist Josef Capek.
Kladnakova’s work has a denser geometric structure and the darker woodier tones comes across like crazy parquet but the blue tones in Before The Storm, catch the eye in a pleasing way and you are drawn into the subtle shifts of surfaces within a work that at a distance seems bland but as you close in on it, it opens into a beautiful puzzle.
