For the third successive season, Gaultier were eliminated from the Championship by Ballinacourty, finding themselves completely outclassed by a side that was led brilliantly by Gary Hurney.
From start to finish, Gaultier simply had no answer to the big full-forward who finished with a tally of 1-5, with 1-3 of that coming from play.
If Gaultier were to have any chance of winning this game, they needed a great start but unfortunately for them, it was not forthcoming.
Instead, Ballinacourty started in a deadly fashion, scoring the first three points of the game with Mark Fives, Mark Ferncombe and Gary Hurney all scoring.
