Lismore scored just two less Tidy Towns points than overall winners Killarney.
Lismore has been ‘crowned’ Ireland’s tidiest small town. Evaluating the picturesque Heritage Town, judges of the 2011 Tidy Towns competition commended Lismore’s ‘warm and welcoming feel’.
More than 820 communities from around the country entered this year’s Tidy Towns National Awards for 2011, with Killarney claiming the overall award. In fact, Lismore scored just two points lower than Killarney.
