Ballygunner were already through to the quarter-finals of the senior hurling championship before this game took place, but nevertheless, they took their ‘A Game’ with them to Fraher field last Saturday to take on Tallow. The westerners needed a victory to keep their own hopes of making the knock-out phase alive and it was surprising that they turned in such a flat performance.
