The opening of two brand-new museum attractions in the Viking Triangle last week has been hailed as a significant factor in the ‘rebirth’ of Waterford city.
Addressing a 500-strong crowd in Cathedral Square, outgoing Mayor of Waterford Mary Roche said the new Viking exhibit in Reginald’s Tower and the new Bishop’s Palace Museum had injected “new life into our historic core”.
