A six-DVD set recalling the drama of Waterford’s National Hurling League, Munster and All-Ireland Championship campaigns will be available at selected outlets from Saturday next, December 15th.
Titled ‘Waterford Senior Hurling Year 2007,’ the set includes the county’s NHL win over Kilkenny in Thurles, along with the five Championship matches, including the Munster final success.
Priced at €50 with all proceeds going to the Waterford Hurler’s Training Fund, the set is guaranteed to prove a Christmas hit with Deise supporters at home and abroad.
All six games include matchday commentary from WLR fm’s Kieran O’Connor, capturing the excitement of the occasion as only Kieran can.
Special thanks is extended to Pat Kiely, whose expertise made this project – the most comprehensive hurling DVD set yet produced – a reality.
On Sunday next, Waterford’s League and Munster Championship-winning stars will officially launch the DVD at Dungarvan Shopping Centre at 12 noon.
The DVDs recall the moments that made Dan Shanahan the Hurler of the Year, that led to the county claiming five slots on the All Star team and captures the excitement of victories over Kilkenny, Cork (twice!) and Limerick.
