Bill Kenwright brought his London Palladium production of Scrooge to the Grand Canal Theatre starring Tommy Steele and it was filled with the joy of the season, the happiness that laughter and contentment brings, it was amazing, transforming and Tommy Steele at 74 was just so awe-inspiring with a sure-fire characterisation to delight an audience of all ages.

I was in primary school when Steele had a hit with Little White Bull and he wowed me and I stand in admiration for a performer, a legend, an entertainer of the old school as he stood alone on the vast stage and radiated show business. The ovation just carried on with a telling finale song of Thank You Very Much.
