A great crowd attended the Waterford Athletic club’s juvenile section AGM on Thursday last. The following officers and Committee were elected for the coming year: Chair –Albert Tebay, Secretary – Tom O’Brien, Treasurer – Ray Power, Child Officer –Tanya McDonnell, Designated person – Brian Swaby; Committee – Shirley Boyle, Margaret Waring, Tom Murray, Harry Culbert, Richie Waring, Cait Caulfield, David Murphy, Brian Scanlon and Gabrielle Blair.

Juvenile membership is now 280 registered members with the AAI which makes us now a very big club. We hope to build on things and the mood at the AGM was very encouraging. Lots felt Waterford should do more to have events within the county such as a stronger T&F and a few open sports, so it was agreed we would try to be more active over the next year.

Congratulations to our 12 parents who qualified as Level 1 AAI coaches last week and lots of information on Waterford AC website.
