Gardai have issued a photofit of a suspect wanted for questioning in relation to a serious assault on a young woman in Leamy Street last Tuesday night (11th November).
The assault took place in the carpark of the Hobble Court Apartments between 9pm and 10pm. The suspect, who spoke with a Waterford accent, is described by gardai as being 17-20 years of age, with blonde hair, a prominent jaw bone and a spotty chin.
On the night in question he was wearing cream cords and a black Puffa jacket with a striped top underneath with the number ‘57′ on it.
Anyone who was in the Leamy Street or Upper Yellow Road area around the time of the attack and saw anything unusual is urged to contact Waterford Garda Station on 051 874 888.
