What can the BBC1 people be thinking of with the unholy mess that Apparitions turned out to be. Perhaps the idea of an exorcist priest with Martin Shaw as the cleric looks hot. The opening episode was complex hokum like Fringe without sex angles and at first Shaw was some sort of canonisation investigator looking at the case for Mother Teresa which led to a gay priest being cured of leprosy by devils who, by the end of the mess, skinned the young priest in a much watered down bloodfest because of complaints before the show was aired. Within such a mess was a sideshow story of a little girl who felt her father was possessed by demons. The father had Jerry Springer – The Opera on dvd plus a Richard Dawkins book. This was worse symbolism than vampire teeth.
