Piltown 0; Carrick United 5

Only one game was played on Sunday last due to the bad weather. The excellent Piltown venue was the only one capable of staging a game but unfortunately from their point of view they came up against a Carrick United team who showed no mercy on the day.

Anthony O’Donnell opened the scoring early on for the visitors and from then on the result was never in any doubt. Adam McSharry scored from two frees during the course of the first half.

He had a penalty saved also but following through Glen Keane slotted the ball to the net. The torrential rain which fell all through made life difficult for all concerned and when Ian Cleary made it 5-0 in the second half the contest was well and truly put to bed.
